Why Should I Work With jsync?

So you get the jsync mailer and read the articles, but say to yourself, “When it comes to the job search, I can do it on my own!” Perhaps you can. Many of you are not even active job seekers, and our mailer is designed to be useful for both passive and active job seekers.
Companies hire people for two main reasons – to help their company save time or make money. Think about it – your current job either supports a group to help them save time or you are building something that will create revenue opportunity for your company. If you are considering a job change, ‘hiring’ jsync as your representative is exactly the same. Hire us to save your time and help you make more money.
How can we do that? Here are some reasons (the 8 “-tions”)why jsync is different from other recruiting firms and the types of advantages we have over our competitors.
Specialization – Most recruiting firms are generalists, perhaps specializing in “General IT”. While they may be looking for Java professionals, they are probably also seeking out Network Admins, DBA’s, Mainframe Programmers, etc. The complaint we most often hear about generalist recruiters is that they often send candidates on interviews that are not a fit for their experience or technical skills. Our specialization provides us with an understanding of your background and skill set and also of what our clients are seeking, which prevents bad interviews. Less interviews = saved time
Information – Where are the Java jobs? You can find some advertised on various websites, but unfortunately every company does not post their jobs. And even if you can find several jobs that fit your criteria, you are still probably sending your resume to jobs@ addresses that will be filtered. Not to mention the only info you may have on the company is based on the website. We have inside information on most local companies that do Java development and can help you find positions that are not public knowledge.
Discretion – Most recruiters operate without discretion. They may send your resumes out to every client, regardless of whether the job or company is a fit for you. “Throw it against the wall and see what sticks” mentality. We only send your resume to companies with a need, and we only send resumes with your permission.
Connections – We have contacts at virtually every company in the area that does Java development. These contacts are truly valuable to you, in that we call on our contacts to continuously gather information that is important for us to know. If we want to know if a company is hiring/firing/outsourcing/being acquired/etc. we can find that out quickly and confidentially.
Representation – Every great athlete has an agent – even the benchwarmers do! So why shouldn’t you have someone to represent you? We have been told on numerous occasions by clients that jsync candidates do receive special consideration because they come from us as Java specialists. Having someone act as your advocate and also as a buffer is quite an asset to the process. And unlike agents, our services are FREE to you!
Organization – Going through the job search and hiring process involves several steps, and we walk you through each one to make sure the process moves along steadily. We will package your resume, coordinate phone screens and interviews, conduct reference checks, review offer letters and hiring packages, and even help with your resignation. Again, our goal is to save time for both our clients and candidates, and by organizing the hiring process we do just that.
Negotiation – Without a representative, you will be required to perform your own negotations on salary, benefits, vacation time, or any other issues that you may have with your offer. Successful negotiation requires both skill and knowledge – skill in effectively and tactfully communicating what you want and knowledge of what the other party is willing and able to concede. Additionally, sometimes negotiations can become heated (i.e. Philadelphia Eagles vs. T.O.). If you act as your own negotiator and things do get ugly, even if you are successful in getting what you want you are then starting off on the wrong foot with your new employer. Let us take care of the negotiations for you.
Situations – Lots of unique and often strange situations can come up during a job search and subsequent hiring process. What do you do if your resume is sent by more than one recruiter to the same company? What should you do if your current employer finds your resume online? How and when should you resign from your old job and accept a new one? We’ve been through all types of situations and have years of experience to draw from if any oddities surface during the process.
Let jsync be your trusted advisor, whether you are a passive or active job seeker. We will save you time, take most stress out of the process, get you a solid deal – and our services are FREE!
